the vineyards

“ Let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see whether the vine hath budded, whether the vine-blossom be opened “

(The Song of Songs)

We believe that the quality of the wine begins in the vineyard: altitude, weather and climate, soil. the “Terroir” and our winegrowing philosophy – all determine the quality and character of the grapes we produce.
The family vineyards are spread over 60 acres in the finest wine regions of Israel – The Northern Golan Heights and the upper Galilee at about 800-900m above sea level.
The main soil in the Golan Heights is Volcanic, while Upper Galilee is Limestone and Terra Rosa.

Classic French system, single Guyot ,which is not common in Israel, is the way we plant our grapes. It is based on quality rather than quantity.

We harvest the grapes at night, and transport them immediately to the winery to preserve maximum quality. Each vineyard is harvested separately and goes thru the winemaking process separately in order to maintain the unique vineyard character and homogeneity of the raw materials.
The combination of investment and nurturing our vineyards, the location of the winery, the one of a kind gravity system and above all – family and the joy of creation – produce a unique and fascinating wine that tells a story of time and place
